He invited my to his Discord Server (https://top.gg/servers/REDACTED) which I joined. The server looks quite convincing with some members having very expensive inventories. We had a voice chat for 17 minutes in which he “Price Checked” my knife at 1000USD which I was happy with. We waited another few days for my item’s trade cooldown to finish before talking again. He showed me his main account which is Trade Banned (https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198405116496). He told me that the reason for his trade ban was due to doing a charge back through PayPal for a game worth 12 Euros. I gullibly believed this and agreed to complete the trade with his second account (https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198925651477). Both his main account and second account had lots of expensive items, and lots of +Rep’s from players with expensive inventories which added to the believability of the scam. He shared his screen on Discord and looked like he was about to send the ETH to my wallet which I gave to him so I then sent him a trade offer with my item (1000USD). After I sent the item he ended the call, blocked me on every platform and has not responded to any attempts in contacting him. |
